When we returned from our break Nancy Whynot came in to do a

things during the workshop. One of the things we learnt was that

Elections were followed by a lunch break.
After lunch Nancy Whynot came and talked to us about a short BOD
meeting that was held during lunch. The BOD wants us to devise what
we think the youth age category should be. After much decision we
all decided that although it maybe a good idea to think about
dividing the youth council into a jounior and senior council we
decided that we should get the youth council up and going better
before we even think about changing anything. Our decision was then
followed by a Sexual Awareness Workshop with Beth Molloy. A short
10-minute break was called.
After the break Adam Smith came in and talked to the youth about
suggestions and ideas he has for the youth. We have all come to the
agreement that we want and need more youth involvement.
Carmen made a binder containing everything she has done over the
past year and has agreed to post it on the website.
The Youth Council has decided to establish business cards, posters,
etc as a way of advertising the Youth Council to get more
involvement.
We adjourned for the day .
Moved by Alana Kesick Zone 1
Seconded by Jacob Gale Zone 6
October 31st:
Carmen called the meeting to order and took attendance. She than
read her Youth Council Yearly Report. A nomination was made by Megan
Langille Zone 7 to accept it and was seconded by Michelle Sangster.
All the youth accepted the report.
Carmen prepared a workshop on Spirit dream pillows for the youth.
The only catch was that the youth had to sew them together
themselves. The workshop went well and everyone had fun.
After the workshop the youth broke for lunch.
After lunch the youth spent the afternoon in the NCNS AGA. There was
also presentations made by the youth to Nancy Whynot and the Grand
Council for all of there help and support.
