NCNS Youth Executives are here to promote positive leadership within the NCNS Youth Council.
They plan events, gatherings, contests, programs, etc with the assistance of their great NCNS
Youth Representatives.

The President and Vice President chair meetings and make sure everyone follows the Terms of
Reference. They are also the main voice for the NCNS Youth Council on a political level. The
NCNS Youth President is also a representative for the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples National
Youth Council. The President also sits on meetings with the NCNS Board of Directors.

The Secretary is responsible for typing documents, assisting in them, and writing the minutes of
a gathering. The secretary hold a very important role in the NCNS Youth Council Executive.

Our Youth Treasurer takes care of cash flow and moneys we raise or receive for the NCNS Youth
Council. They are the person you want to get in touch with if you have a potential fundrasing
initiative for us.

They are elected at each Annual General Assembly, held yearly in conjunction with the NCNS
Annual General Assembly. This year it will be held on September 17th and 18th, 2005 in Truro,
Nova Scotia.
